Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Telecom Depot Pty Ltd  (ABN  27 145 762 643) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. It applies to telecomdepot.com.au and to all our dealings with customers.

What we collect
• Your name, business name, phone number, email address, and delivery and billing addresses
• Your order history and correspondence with us
• Your account login (passwords are encrypted, and we can't see them)
• Website usage information, such as pages visited, browser type and IP address, collected through cookies and analytics

We don't store your full credit card details. Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers.

How we collect it
Mostly directly from you: when you place an order, create an account, fill in our contact form, sign up to our newsletter, or call or email us. We also collect website usage information automatically when you visit our site.

Why we use it
• To process, deliver and support your orders, including warranty claims and returns
• To communicate with you about your orders and enquiries
• To prevent fraud and keep our website secure
• To improve our website, products and service
• To send you news and offers, but only if you've opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to stop at any time.

Who we share it with
We only share your information when it's needed to provide our services, or when required by law:
• couriers, such as StarTrack, Australia Post and our Melbourne courier, to deliver your order
• our e-commerce platform and IT providers, including BigCommerce, which hosts our store
• payment providers, such as PayPal / Stripe / Visa/Mastercard
• analytics and email providers, such as Google Analytics and Mailchimp
• manufacturers or their service agents, when handling a warranty claim
• our related company Aristel Networks, our accountants and other professional advisers
• government or regulatory bodies, where the law requires it

We never sell your personal information.

Overseas storage
Some of our providers store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States, for example BigCommerce, Google and Mailchimp. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information in line with Australian privacy standards.

Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. These include secure (HTTPS) connections on our website, password-protected systems and limited staff access. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.

Cookies
Our website uses cookies to keep items in your cart, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can turn cookies off in your browser, but parts of the site, such as checkout, may not work properly.

Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email sales@telecomdepot.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge for making a request.
