Returns, Refunds & Warranty
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These guarantees also apply to most business purchases under $100,000. Manufacturer warranties are in addition to these rights.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Please contact us as soon as you notice a problem. Email sales@telecomdepot.com.au or call 1800 890 425. Reporting within 14 days of delivery helps us resolve things fastest, but it doesn't limit your rights.
• Damaged in transit: if the packaging is obviously damaged, refuse the delivery and ask the courier to return it to sender. If you've already accepted it, send us photos within 2 business days.
• Wrong item sent: if we sent the wrong product, we'll arrange collection at our cost.
• Faulty product: we'll handle your claim, including dealing with the manufacturer for you. Some brands offer faster direct support, and we'll let you know if that's an option. The choice is yours.
Return Authorisation (RA)
Please get an RA number from us before returning anything. We'll need:
• your name and contact details
• your invoice or order number
• the product part number
• whether the box has been opened
• the reason for the return
Each RA covers one product and is valid for 14 days.
Testing and outcomes
We test returned products within 14 business days of receiving them. Some products need to be tested by the manufacturer, which can take up to 28 days.
• Major failure: you choose a refund or a replacement.
• Other faults: we'll repair, replace or refund within a reasonable time.
• Refunds are made to your original payment method. We'll only issue a credit note if you'd prefer one.
• No fault found: if testing finds no fault, or the damage happened after delivery, we'll return the product to you. A testing fee of $75 plus return freight may apply, and we'll tell you the cost before charging it.
Change of mind
We don't offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, including ordering the wrong product. This doesn't affect your rights for faulty products. If you're unsure what to order, call us first and we'll help you choose.
Ex-demo, clearance and second-hand items
These may not include a manufacturer's warranty. Any known faults or wear will be described on the product listing. Your consumer guarantee rights still apply to any problem we didn't tell you about.
Repairs outside warranty
Contact us and we'll help you reach the manufacturer or an authorised service centre.
For more information about your rights, visit the ACCC (accc.gov.au) or Consumer Affairs Victoria (consumer.vic.gov.au).
